RentAnAC began in 2006 (operating as Metro Appliance Rental) with the idea that for many, battling hot summers in Boston’s various neighborhoods can be a bit overwhelming – Much of our city’s charming real estate doesn’t offer central air, making a temporary cooling solution on a sweltering August day a must. AC units are awfully heavy, annoying to store and no fun to maintain. Starting with just a handful of air conditioners, a beat up old sedan and a bit of sweat we created a convenient service that promises to be a simple, start-to-finish cooling solution for anyone to enjoy.

We strive to create convenience and offer a great service to our customers in every way we can. We’re a couple of (somewhat) recent college grads with a passion for nurturing niche businesses and are grateful for everyone’s loyalty and support.
